The Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), methodology has been around for decades. Due to its proven success with some of the most successful organizations, it is now getting the attention is deserves. While this methodology is conceptually simple, in practice, it is challenging to implement.

Team training is useful, however, the most effective way to implement OKRs is by working individually and with key team members as well as with the team. We all learn differently and consequently it’s easy to get misaligned.

OKR’s one-quarter time frame forces individuals to act quickly, which uncovers areas of misalignment and misunderstanding. In our typical consulting and coaching engagements we build-in ample time early on with the team and individuals to ensure there is a shared understanding of the OKR process and concepts.
